• Action: Rapid-acting contact herbicide that works by disrupting plant metabolism.
• Targeted Control: Controls submersed weeds and algae simultaneously, including filamentous algae.
• Application: It comes in a granular formulation that sinks to the bottom, making it ideal for treating bottom-growing weeds and algae around docks and shoreline areas. It is typically applied using a scoop or a handheld spreader.
• Dosage: Rates vary based on infestation; typically 27 to 136 pounds per acre-foot for weed control and 3 to 82 pounds per acre-foot for algae control. A 20 lb bag generally treats 2,000 to 8,000 square feet.
• Timing: Often applied in May/June, with a follow-up treatment in July/August

Important Considerations

• Oxygen Depletion: As heavy vegetation dies, it can cause rapid oxygen depletion; treating in sections is advised.
• Restrictions: There are no restrictions on swimming or fishing immediately after proper application. However, do not use water from treated areas for irrigation, drinking, or watering livestock for 7 to 25 days, depending on the dosage applied. Always read and follow the product label carefully. Some state or local agencies may require permits for application. Do not use in ponds with Koi, Grass Carp, or goldfish, as high dosages can be toxic to fish.
